One of many branded Spotify experience I worked on over the years, this one for Emirates. Behind the scenes we took the user’s listening history and used that to generate a unique taste profile. Then, we matched that to the unique musical fingerprint for some of the most popular travel destinations around the world. With a little user input and some comparison we could recommend city to travel to based on what they like listening to.

The project was called True North; a nod to the guiding light adventures used in past generations to travel the globe. As the user moves through the experience the clouds part, the sky turns from day to night, and finally their destination lights up the night sky like a constellation.
